Eligibility analysis
Assessment of the client's work against SR&ED criteria to identify what is genuinely eligible.
Partner to CPA, tax and SR&ED firms
I help CPA, tax and SR&ED firms with the analysis, documentation and technical writing of their clients' SR&ED claims.
You own the file and the client relationship. I take care of the most demanding scientific and technical work.
More than 20 years of software development and entrepreneurship. More than 6 years in SR&ED analysis and writing.
You keep the entire relationship with your client ; I work alongside you, never in your place.
Who I am
I have been a software developer and technology entrepreneur for more than 20 years. For more than 6 years, I have helped technology companies analyze and write the scientific and technical portion of their SR&ED claims.
My role is to understand the projects, talk with the technical teams, identify the technological uncertainties and turn that information into clear, structured and defensible documentation.
I act as a partner to CPA firms, tax practices and firms specialized in tax incentives and SR&ED, complementing their expertise while respecting their relationship with their clients.
The context
Whether you're a CPA firm, a tax practice or an SR&ED specialist, the scientific and technical side of a claim requires time and a development profile few teams have in-house, especially during peak season.
Even with solid SR&ED expertise, the development profile needed to break down complex software projects is rarely available in-house.
During peak season, spending hours on technical writing pulls the firm away from its core business.
Getting technical teams to talk and extracting the right elements requires a precise vocabulary and method.
Converting technical discussions into a clear, structured and defensible file is a discipline of its own.
My solution
I work as an external partner to the firm. I focus solely on the scientific and technical side of the claim, backing up your team, whether to fill a technical-expertise gap or as added capacity on your most complex files.
My involvement stays discreet. I can talk directly with the client's technical teams or work entirely through you, as you prefer.
I complement the firm's skills without ever replacing them. The firm keeps the entire relationship with its client.
